Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their client's team in Texas. This role is designed for a dedicated HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to various HR functions, from recruitment to employee engagement.
Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential HR records, reports, and employee files in accordance with company standards and best practices.
- Support employees by responding to HR-related questions, concerns, and needs via phone, email, or in person for a workforce of 200+.
- Assist employees in accessing crisis intervention resources or counseling referrals when needed.
- Contribute to department initiatives focused on employee engagement, morale, and retention.
Recruitment, Hiring & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes including screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding and deliver new-hire training to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Partner with leadership to make hiring decisions that align with workforce planning goals.
Compliance & Investigations
- Ensure HR processes comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Conduct internal workplace investigations and assist with external audit or investigative activities when required.
- Oversee and maintain employee medical documentation and other protected records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Prepare documentation for unemployment claims, EEOC inquiries, and related regulatory matters.
HR Reporting, Documentation & Systems
- Follow established HR reporting schedules and complete all required submissions accurately and on time.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual HR metrics and reports.
- Maintain the HRIS to ensure current and accurate employee information.
- Assist with developing HR forms, updating policies, and improving documentation systems.
Employee Engagement & Communications
- Create, design, edit, and distribute the organization's monthly internal newsletter.
- Coordinate recognition events and initiatives that support a culture of appreciation.
- Manage and publish company-approved content on social media platforms.
Additional HR Functions
- Assist with payroll-related tasks.
- Support workers' compensation and unemployment processes, including hearings.
- Participate in department planning efforts to support organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed.
Required Work Hours
Monday through Friday, first shift.
Benefits
Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $65,000 per year.
